My Biography

Born November 24th in the mid 70’s, Kevin G. Brooks, the 1st born of Jamaican immigrants, called New York City his home for 8 years.
In the early 80’s, an oil boom in the Southern regions of the United States created an opportunity for the young family to migrate to Houston, Texas. While in Houston, Kevin excelled in sports, but also became acquainted with the realities of the Thug Life. Shortly thereafter, he quit physical activities and school and fully committed himself to the Thug Life. Due to circumstances, he was forced to relocate to Toronto, Ontario in Canada; and then Miami, Florida. While in Miami, he broke his neck and acquired a spinal cord injury that left him partially paralyzed. Consequently he denounced the Thug Life and dedicated his life to God the Father. The rest of Kevin Brooks’ life is still in the making, so stay tuned…

2008 YMCA Peacemaker Award

In late 2008 Kevin Brooks was nominated, and won the 2008 YMCA of Toronto Peacemaker Award. Although he wasn't seeking any appreciation from the public, a few influential people within the greater Toronto area wanted to publicly reward him for his contributions to the children within his community. He often guess speaks at local high schools, elementary schools, and community functions with the objective to talk against violence within the community.
